Wilfried Bechtle

Wilfried Bechtle provides specialized online musical instruction focused entirely on the harmonica through the platform Mundharmonikaspielen.com. The primary curriculum consists of the Mundharmonikakurs für Melodystar und chromatische Mundharmonika, which is designed for chromatic harmonica and the Melodystar instrument, alongside an integrated Bluesharpkurs dedicated to the blues harp. These courses are designed for beginners as well as continuing players looking to master diverse musical styles, including blues, rock, pop, and classical pieces. The offerings do not confer academic degrees, functioning instead as specialized practical music courses for personal development. The entire course portfolio is delivered online through distance learning, comprising more than 600 structured digital lessons accompanied by video playbacks recorded at various speeds to facilitate practice. Learning takes place self-paced and asynchronously, with the course library being continuously expanded. Alongside the recorded video materials, the program includes three 30-minute one-on-one live instruction sessions conducted via online video meetings. Technical training covers how to hold the instrument, correct breathing techniques, tone production, song interpretation, and both the pucker and tongue-blocking playing methods.
