Program Description
This program provides structured instrumental instruction for beginners and advancing musicians who want to learn the blues harp and harmonica. Developed from over fifteen years of classroom music education experience, the curriculum teaches the technical foundations and musical principles required to play standard repertoire across blues, rock, pop, and classical genres.
The curriculum encompasses more than 600 video lessons covering instrument handling, proper breathing techniques, clean single-note production, and sound modulation. Instruction covers both the pursed-lip method and tongue blocking, alongside practice routines for melody and blues styles on standard diatonic blues harps, the Melodystar model, and chromatic harmonicas. Students study song interpretation, phrasing, and rhythmic accompaniment through systematic practice materials.
Instruction is delivered entirely online through on-demand video tutorials paired with adjustable-speed video backing tracks for independent practice. Students can progress at their own pace, with the option to supplement self-study modules with individual online sessions.
