About the Company
Study IT is a specialized tutoring platform providing individual 1:1 live mentoring in programming and computer science. The provider operates purely online and does not offer any on-site courses, conducting all sessions through a dedicated browser-based classroom. Founded by Marcel Schmidtpeter, the educational platform focuses on helping university students, vocational apprentices preparing for IHK examinations, and career changers master subjects such as Java, Python, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
Study Programs
Study IT does not award academic degrees, diplomas, or accredited institutional certificates. Instead, the provider offers an entirely online portfolio of one-on-one live coaching, exam preparation, and practical programming tutoring. All instruction takes place remotely via a proprietary browser-based classroom platform without requiring software downloads. The educational offerings are structured around four core target groups: university students preparing for computer science examinations, vocational apprentices preparing for Chamber of Commerce (IHK) qualifications, career changers bridging into the software development job market, and company teams seeking continuing professional training. For university students, Study IT provides structured coaching for introductory and intermediate computer science modules, specifically Programmieren I, Programmieren II, algorithms, and data structures. Tutoring is customized to each student's university curriculum, problem sets, and past examination papers from universities and technical colleges. Core programming topics include Java (primarily versions 17 and 21), Python, C#, C, SQL, and frameworks such as Spring Boot and JUnit. Sessions focus on code tracing, syntax and control flow, array logic, recursion, and object-oriented programming principles such as classes, inheritance, polymorphism, interfaces, and equals or hashCode implementations. Pure theoretical computer science topics without practical code, such as abstract complexity theory, are not covered. For vocational trainees, Study IT offers specialized preparation for the German Chamber of Commerce exam for Application Development Specialists (IHK Fachinformatiker für Anwendungsentwicklung). This preparation covers the intermediate exam (GAP1), the written components of the final exam (Part 2 GA1, GA2, and WiSo), and the company project (Betrieblicher Auftrag). The curriculum trains candidates on formal pseudocode, sorting algorithms, O-notation, UML class modeling, entity-relationship diagrams, and relational database normalization to third normal form (3NF). Trainees also receive asynchronous and live feedback on their project proposals, code reviews, documentation checks, and mock simulations of the final technical presentation and oral examination (Fachgespräch). While GAP1 and WiSo are supported for System Integration apprentices (FISI), the provider explicitly does not cover FISI-specific project work involving server setups and network configurations. For career switchers moving from self-study or coding bootcamps into industry roles, Study IT provides portfolio development, individual code reviews, and coaching on bridging the gap between tutorials and professional application architecture. In addition, corporate clients can book custom-tailored coaching sessions and training packages for their development teams on consolidated invoices.
Application Procedure
Study IT requires no formal admission credentials or prior academic qualifications to enroll in tutoring. Students only need a functioning development environment such as IntelliJ Community or Eclipse alongside their university scripts, practice sheets, or exam materials. Prospective participants begin by booking a free, non-binding 30-minute introductory meeting in the browser classroom to evaluate their specific learning gaps. Flexible live sessions can then be scheduled individually, with evening and weekend appointments readily available. A single 60-minute tutoring session costs 59.99 EUR. Pre-purchased hours are available through a 5-hour intensive package for 269.99 EUR and a 10-hour package for 499.99 EUR. Unused hours from these packages remain valid for 12 months before expiring. Custom packages and collective invoicing can also be arranged for companies and specialized teams. Payments are processed per booking through Stripe or PayPal. All services operate without subscription models, automatic contract renewals, or minimum terms. Scheduled sessions can be canceled free of charge up to 12 hours before the appointment begins. Late cancellations within 12 hours or no-shows are billed in full. Provided invoices meet legal requirements so that fees can typically be deducted as work-related expenses on tax returns for vocational training.
Regular courses from Study IT need no formal application: choose your course below, enroll via the link on the course page and pay the fees, and you are enrolled.
