Study Programs

Through BogenBalance Streicherschule online, Felix Seiffert provides instrumental music instruction tailored to adult learners, covering beginners, advanced students, and musicians returning after an extended break. The portfolio consists of digital distance-learning courses, personalized coaching, and in-person ensemble workshops. The offerings do not award academic degrees such as bachelor or master degrees, focusing instead on practical instrumental performance, music theory, ear training, and string technique. The distance-learning curriculum includes several structured online courses. Grundlagenkurs concentrates on music reading, rhythmic comprehension, and ear training through weekly instructional video lessons, downloadable PDF handouts, practical exercises, and relative solmization techniques. Streicherbasis, available as Streicherbasis 1 and Streicherbasis 2, offers foundational instruction for four classical string instruments: violin, viola, cello, and double bass. This cross-instrument course guides learners through the method book Alles für Streicher with digital video lessons and recommended four-day study intervals. For dedicated cello instruction, the Intensivkurs Cello and Intensivkurs Cello Plus deliver multi-level training across fingerboard positions, supported by downloadable sheet music, MP3 play-along tracks, audio demonstrations, and direct feedback through a dedicated community forum. Beyond independent study courses, Felix Seiffert provides individualized mentoring and ensemble formats. Cello Coaching offers tailored one-on-one guidance aimed at advancing personal technique and musical interpretation on the cello. Students can also take advantage of a free advisory session conducted remotely via Zoom to assess their current abilities and map out subsequent learning steps. To complement online study with collective playing, on-site workshops for string players bring instrumentalists together for live rehearsals, ensemble playing, and group music making.
