Study Programs

The primary qualification offered is the training program to become an equine-assisted coach, titled Ausbildung zum pferdegestuetzten Coach auf Systemischen Grundlagen, which is also presented as a hybrid training in coaching with horses and nature. Prospective participants can choose between two variations: the Basis Ausbildung and the Intensiv Ausbildung. This certification operates primarily as a distance learning program, granting students continuous digital access to over 1,000 pages of downloadable scripts, instructional video modules, and three live Zoom meetings per month. The curriculum allows for self-paced study with a duration ranging from a minimum of 18 weeks or six months up to 12 or 24 months, accompanied by individual mentoring and digital supervision. While the theoretical study, community interactions, and ongoing coaching sessions take place entirely online, the program requires on-site practical attendance to complete the qualification. The practical training sessions take place in person in a natural setting in the Karlsruhe area and at Hof Siedental. Students select designated in-person completion dates, which are hosted in Germany near Stuttgart as well as in Switzerland near Zurich. The curriculum spans more than 30 instructional chapters covering systemic questioning and coaching attitudes, solution-focused conversation techniques, horse ethology and animal welfare, mindfulness, and visualization techniques. The training also includes specialized bonus units focusing on systemic coaching with children and adolescents, teambuilding, executive coaching, and energetic protection. In addition to the comprehensive coach certification, Alexandra Lohr provides specialized continuing education courses and business development programs. The Erfolgsmentoring program supports coaches in building their coaching businesses through individual and group online mentoring, personal workbooks, and group communication channels. For experienced practitioners, continuing education includes both virtual and in-person courses. Systemische Aufstellungsarbeit fuer Pferde und Tiere is delivered entirely as an online live seminar covering digital systemic constellation work using symbolic objects. In-person continuing education courses include Kinder & Jugendliche im Coaching, conducted on-site at the Barockreitzentrum Heimsheim, as well as Coaching im Sattel, which focuses on interventions from the saddle for experienced coaches. Additional offerings include the 3.5-day on-site refresher seminar Empower Your Mission Days, also designated as Refresh & Fire up, along with tailored corporate workshops in horse-assisted leadership training and team development.

Prior horse knowledge or riding experience is not required for admission, as coaching exercises are conducted exclusively from the ground. Enrollment provides immediate access to the digital learning platform, downloadable scripts, and recorded videos. Students can begin at any time and work at their own pace, with study periods generally ranging from 18 weeks to 12 months and support available for up to 24 months. The comprehensive coaching certification costs 2,699.73 EUR plus VAT, which totals 3,333 EUR including VAT. Alexandra Lohr offers flexible installment financing options divided across 6, 8, 10, or 12 monthly payments. Shorter advanced workshops are billed separately. The three-day Train the Trainer workshop and the youth coaching module each cost 1,290 EUR plus VAT, with Inner Circle members receiving a 20 percent discount on Train the Trainer. Individual supervision days cost 490 EUR plus VAT, the mounted intervention workshop costs 590 EUR plus VAT, and the digital constellation seminar costs 399 EUR plus VAT.
