Online Russian Advanced Language Course

This advanced Russian language program is designed for learners with existing foundational knowledge who aim to advance their proficiency to the CEFR B2 and C1 levels. Tailored for professionals, university students, upper secondary school students, and heritage speakers seeking to maintain their cultural and linguistic ties, this course empowers participants to express themselves with confidence and nuance across sophisticated oral and written communication scenarios.

The curriculum explores advanced grammatical structures, extensive thematic vocabulary, and current socioeconomic affairs. Learners examine authentic texts and audio exercises encompassing modern Russian politics, economics, media, society, and literature, while also investigating historical traditions, urban and rural life, and German-Russian cultural relations to foster deep contextual knowledge alongside linguistic mastery.

Learning takes place through a flexible distance education format combining twelve comprehensive study booklets, audio materials, reference grammars, and online resources. Students complete regular written assignments and submit audio recordings in MP3 format for individualized grading and feedback from personal language tutors, supported throughout by an interactive online study portal.

Applicants should have solid foundational knowledge of the Russian language equivalent to roughly three years of prior study, alongside an intermediate school leaving certificate. Enrollment is open continuously online, and students can begin their studies at any time with a four-week free trial period.
