Online Certified Vocational and Further Education Pedagogue (IHK)

This comprehensive advanced training program prepares in-company trainers, human resource developers, lecturers, and coaches for the official Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) examination as a Certified Vocational and Further Education Pedagogue. Designed for professionals aiming to assume strategic leadership roles in corporate education, the curriculum equips participants to systematically identify corporate training requirements, coordinate educational initiatives, and guide apprentices and employees through contemporary learning processes across all industry sectors.

The curriculum is structured around the two central examination areas defined by the IHK: learning processes and pedagogical support, and the planning of vocational education processes. Participants delve into learning psychology, didactic design, learning coaching, the selection and creation of modern educational media, performance evaluation, and examination design. Additionally, the program covers legal frameworks governing vocational training and continuing education, education controlling, educational counseling, and quality assurance mechanisms for enterprise training systems.

Delivered through a flexible blended learning framework, the course combines 38 comprehensive self-study booklets and five case studies with three intensive webinars spanning ten days of live interactive instruction. Students gain 24/7 access to the online study center, where they submit assignments for individualized grading and feedback, exchange ideas with peers, and receive personalized academic mentoring. Participants can test the entire program risk-free for four weeks and benefit from an optional nine-month extension at no extra charge.

Enrollment in the distance learning course is open directly via the online registration portal and requires prior vocational experience as well as an interest in knowledge transfer. Admission to the external IHK certification examination requires a completed qualification in a recognized three-year training occupation followed by at least one year of relevant professional practice, or a completed vocational training with at least two years of relevant experience, alongside an instructor qualification certificate (AEVO/AdA). Candidates may also gain admission by demonstrating comparable vocational proficiency through official transcripts and references.
