Program Description

The Online Certified Tourism Specialist (IHK) Program with Trainer Examination (AEVO) preparation equips ambitious professionals with advanced business, management, and operational expertise in the dynamic travel and hospitality sectors. Designed for individuals working in travel agencies, tour operations, hotel management, destination marketing, and leisure enterprises, this qualification prepares participants for leadership positions at DQR Level 6. Students develop a thorough understanding of strategic market trends, sustainable tourism practices, and customer-focused service design.

The curriculum covers comprehensive business administration and tourism-specific competencies across multiple core modules. Participants explore strategic management, St. Gallen management concepts, financial accounting, cost and performance control, budgeting, and targeted tourism marketing strategies. Additional focus areas include destination management, mobility and transportation logistics, hospitality operations, quality assurance, project management, and didactic methodologies required for the train-the-trainer examination under the German AEVO regulation.

Delivered through a flexible digital distance learning format, the program combines digital study guides, interactive case studies, and dedicated tutor feedback. Students benefit from the digital campus and AI-powered learning assistant KILEA, which offers targeted support and knowledge assessments throughout the 18-month duration. Practical webinars and focused coaching sessions ensure thorough preparation for both the comprehensive IHK examination and professional trainer certification.
