Program Description
The Online Styrian Harmonica Tablature Course provides systematic instruction for playing the Styrian harmonica in the G-C-F-B tuning. Designed for beginners and self-taught players seeking structured guidance, the program establishes foundational techniques, including reading harmonica tablature, five-finger execution, and coordinated bass accompaniment.
The curriculum encompasses 143 video lessons arranged across 31 topical units. Core subjects include fingering across all four rows, bass scales and runs, timing in 2/4 and 3/4 meters, articulation techniques such as staccato and tenuto, rhythmic subdivisions, chord accompaniment in major and minor keys, Oberkrainer styling, and two- to three-part playing across diverse waltzes, polkas, and marches.
The course is delivered via an on-demand video platform containing over six hours of video instruction. Enrolled participants receive three months of access to all video modules, 69 downloadable sheet music files in Griffschrift notation, and a dedicated comment function for lesson inquiries.
