Program Description
The Online Slap Bass Workshop for Advanced Bassists is designed for experienced electric bass players seeking to master modern slap and pop playing techniques. This workshop addresses musicians who already command basic bass playing principles and wish to expand their stylistic vocabulary with percussive articulation, sophisticated groove patterns, and rhythmic precision.
The curriculum focuses on essential and advanced slap bass mechanics, including thumb strikes, index and middle finger popping, dead notes, hammer-ons, and pull-offs. Participants examine complex rhythmic timing, syncopation, octave runs, and groove building across various musical contexts such as funk, rock, and fusion.
Instruction is delivered through structured on-demand video lessons featuring close-up technical demonstrations and tempo-varied exercises. Students work through the instructional material at their own pace, with continuous online access to study materials and play-along exercises designed for systematic home practice.
