Program Description

This program provides structured instruction in sketching techniques for both beginners and experienced illustrators who want to capture ideas, objects, and everyday scenes quickly on paper. Participants learn how to overcome creative blocks, simplify complex subjects, and develop confidence in spontaneous freehand drawing.

The curriculum covers foundational mark-making, line quality, and basic geometric forms before progressing to analytical sketching and perspective drawing with one, two, or three vanishing points. Further modules address rapid drawing using timed exercises, the introduction of color through colored pencils, markers, and watercolor pencils, as well as practical applications such as urban sketching, croquis, still life, and architectural studies.

Learning takes place fully self-paced through 40 step-by-step video lessons accompanied by a comprehensive eBook containing theoretical concepts and printable exercise sheets. Exercises can be completed traditionally on paper or digitally using graphics tablets, and participants receive a certificate of completion upon finishing all lessons.
