Program Description
This program is designed for individuals who have never operated a sewing machine before or wish to build fundamental textile skills from scratch. Participants gain a clear, structured introduction to sewing without requiring any prior technical background or specialized equipment, utilizing standard household sewing machines.
The curriculum begins with essential theory, covering the anatomy and operation of a sewing machine, threading, and stitching initial practice seams. Learners examine fabric varieties, thread types, marking tools, and measuring instruments before progressing through four practical sewing projects: a decorative pillowcase with appliqué, an organizer basket with outer compartments, a zippered cosmetic pouch, and a drawstring backpack.
Instruction is delivered entirely through six hours of on-demand video lessons structured into sequential modules. Participants receive direct access upon registration to review lessons flexibly at their own pace, with the option to repeat demonstrations as needed.
