Online Master Craftsperson in Electrical Engineering Program

Program Description
This program qualifies electrical craft specialists and technicians to advance their careers toward executive leadership and self-employment within energy and building technology. Designed for professionals holding vocational qualifications and practical experience in electrical trades, the curriculum systematically prepares students for Parts I and II of the official Master Craftsperson examination before the Chamber of Crafts. Participants gain the specialized technical competence and leadership authority required to supervise complex electrical installations, instruct apprentices, and run an independent trade business at DQR Level 6 competence.
The curriculum thoroughly covers theoretical principles and practical applications in electrical systems, electronics, measurement technology, control engineering, electrical machinery, and lighting design. In addition to technical execution and electrical safety standards, participants master comprehensive project workflows, including tender calculation, order planning, contract subcontracting, and quality management. Core business and operations management modules address strategic business planning, electrical industry marketing, personnel management, and legal requirements pertinent to the electrical trade.
Learning takes place through a flexible blended distance format combining approximately eighty-five printed and digital study booklets with interactive tools in the online study center. The innovative artificial intelligence study companion KILEA provides round-the-clock learning support, complemented by personal feedback from experienced distance instructors. Practical competency is consolidated through specialized on-site laboratory seminars conducted in partnership with the vocational training center of the Chamber of Crafts Halle.
