The Online KNX Building Automation Programming Course provides structured technical instruction for commissioning and configuring smart home systems using KNX industry standards. The curriculum is designed for building owners, electricians, and technicians seeking practical configuration knowledge without prior software experience. Participants learn how to establish a functional KNX installation for single-family residences, multi-story buildings, and commercial properties using current ETS engineering software.
The training curriculum spans nineteen practical modules covering every step of system planning and parameterization. Core topics include ETS software installation and licensing, project setup, building topology planning, physical address allocation, and control cabinet component integration. Students examine practical configurations for heating actuators, shading systems, binary inputs, presence detectors, scene control, and DALI lighting gateways, along with group address routing, bus line couplers, and system diagnostics via the group monitor.
Instruction is delivered through eight hours of on-demand, click-by-click video demonstrations paired with downloadable ETS practice project files compatible with ETS5 and ETS6. The asynchronous online format enables self-paced learning with lifetime access to all course modules and future software updates. Upon completion of all units, participants can request a personalized certificate of completion.
