Online Intermediate Secondary School Certificate Preparation Course

This program prepares students systematically for the external state examination to obtain the German intermediate secondary school leaving certificate (Realschulabschluss / Mittlerer Bildungsabschluss). Tailored for adults seeking career advancement, entry into specialized vocational training programs, or access to higher academic paths such as the Fachhochschulreife and Abitur, the program builds a solid foundation for long-term professional development.

The curriculum encompasses all examination subjects, including German, Mathematics, English, History, Politics, Biology, and an elective choice between Chemistry and Physics. Students acquire both foundational and advanced academic competencies through structured study guides, specialized science textbooks, interactive multimedia English modules, and targeted webinars on study methodologies.

Learning combines physical and digital study booklets with the modern ILS Online-Studienzentrum and the 24/7 AI-powered learning companion KILEA. Personal distance-learning tutors evaluate graded submissions and provide individual academic feedback, culminating in focused preparation seminars for the official state examinations in Hamburg.

Applicants holding a basic secondary school qualification (Hauptschulabschluss) enter the 24-month curriculum, while those without an initial school leaving certificate join an extended 30-month track. Participants require standard internet access and a multimedia PC or laptop. Registration is open year-round directly through the institution.
