The literature module offers a historical overview across genres, teaching structured interpretation methodologies for short prose, novels, drama, and lyric poetry.

Instruction combines digital and printed study materials, granting learners full flexibility to study self-paced over twelve months with up to six months of free extension. Participants benefit from individualized feedback on assignments by experienced distance tutors, continuous access to the Online Study Center community, and real-time learning support from the award-winning AI companion KILEA.

Applicants require at least a basic secondary school leaving certificate (Hauptschulabschluss) alongside an active interest in German language and literature. Registration is open year-round and can be completed directly online, beginning with a risk-free four-week trial period.
