Program Description
The Online Floristry Basics and Floral Design Course provides structured theoretical instruction in floral design principles for beginners, hobbyists, and career changers. The program aims to impart an understanding of why specific floral arrangements appear balanced and durable, establishing a systematic design foundation without requiring prior professional training.
Structured across eight modules divided into 14 instructional units, the curriculum covers essential floristry tools, cut flower preparation including stem cutting, defoliation, and hydration, as well as classical wiring techniques for stems, berry clusters, and foliage. Participants also study compositional rules, including floral color theory, flower movement and growth forms, surface textures, and proper vessel selection.
The curriculum is delivered entirely online as a self-paced video course with unrestricted access to all instructional materials. Learners progress through the video lessons at their own speed and receive supplementary support and networking opportunities through a digital member community.
