Online First Aid at Work Primary Survey Course

This training program delivers essential knowledge in primary survey procedures and life-saving workplace first aid response. Developed in partnership with First Response Training, the course prepares employees, managers, and designated workplace responders to act decisively during accidents and medical emergencies. Participants develop the foundational understanding required to manage initial scene safety and provide urgent support to casualties across diverse professional settings.

The curriculum aligns with the Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines for basic life support and centers on the DRABC methodology, encompassing Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, and Circulation. Learners examine how to conduct environmental risk assessments, determine casualty consciousness, clear blocked airways, and properly administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation. In addition, the instruction demonstrates when and how to place an unconscious casualty safely into the recovery position to maintain airway stability.

Instruction is provided entirely online through a self-paced e-learning platform featuring interactive lesson pages with integrated audio explanations. Learners can study flexibly, pause and resume modules at will, and test their comprehension via an 18-question multiple-choice assessment requiring an 80 percent pass score. The program holds independent accreditation from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents and conforms to standard Continuing Professional Development guidelines, culminating in an immediately downloadable certificate.
