Online Equality, Diversity and Inclusion in Health and Social Care Training

This concise online course prepares care workers, support staff, and social care professionals to implement fair, non-discriminatory, and inclusive practices within diverse health and social care settings. Designed both as a fundamental introduction for new practitioners and as an annual refresher for seasoned staff, the curriculum ensures that individuals receiving support are treated with dignity, fairness, and equal opportunity regardless of their cultural or personal backgrounds.

The curriculum examines core definitions of equality, diversity, and inclusion while exploring legal frameworks and professional standards relevant to health and social services. Participants explore strategies for promoting inclusion in daily workplace routines, recognizing discriminatory behavior, and identifying reliable sources of advice, information, and guidance when resolving workplace challenges.

Delivered entirely online through a self-paced e-learning platform, the training takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and includes initial knowledge-check questions at each module that enable learners to demonstrate existing competence.
