This state-approved dual qualification equips professionals, educators, and dedicated individuals with the specialized competencies required to guide children through critical developmental phases and alleviate psychological stress. Participants gain the expertise needed to support infants, toddlers, and school-aged children facing behavioral hurdles, sensory processing difficulties, or emotional strain, while empowering parents through constructive developmental guidance.

The curriculum integrates early childhood developmental psychology with relaxation pedagogy across two comprehensive modules. Coursework covers developmental theories, diagnostic procedures, attachment dynamics, and speech and motor development, combined with practical interventions such as Progressive Muscle Relaxation according to Jacobson, Autogenic Training adapted for youth, mindfulness, guided imagery, and breathing exercises designed specifically for young age groups.

Delivered through a flexible distance learning structure, the program features fifteen study booklets, twenty-eight animated case study videos, integrated audiobooks, self-assessment tests, and the AI study partner StudyBuddy. The training also includes a full-day online practical seminar, voluntary expert webinars, and up to two additional years of free academic advising, concluding with two BTB certificates upon passing the online examinations; without attending the practical seminar, the Coach für Kinderentspannung part leads only to a certificate of completion (Entspannung für Kinder).

For the Entwicklungsberatung part, BTB requires a minimum age of 21 and an intermediate school-leaving certificate according to the course introduction; the Coach für Kinderentspannung part is aimed at childcare staff, educational professionals, and interested career changers.
