Online Child and Adolescent Developmental Disorders Training

This professional development course prepares school teachers and educational professionals to recognize, understand, and address psychological and developmental challenges in children and adolescents. The curriculum examines concepts of psychological normality, the bio-psycho-social model of mental disorders, and established classification systems. Learners choose between a primary school or secondary school specialization, exploring specific challenges such as ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and addiction. Additional modules address preventive measures in schools, procedures during suspected threats to child welfare, and burnout prevention strategies to support teacher mental health.

Delivered completely online in an asynchronous format, the course provides flexible self-paced learning over twelve weeks. Instruction combines comprehensive video lessons and in-depth reading texts with guided reflection tasks and downloadable course scripts. Participants assess their progress through an integrated multiple-choice test and receive the official Teach LOVE certificate upon submitting their completed portfolio.
