Online Basic Dog Ownership and Canine Behavior Course

The Online Basic Dog Ownership and Canine Behavior Course is designed for prospective and current dog owners, individuals adopting rescue dogs, and anyone seeking a structured foundation in canine behavior and welfare. The curriculum focuses on developing a comprehensive understanding of dogs as complex social beings, examining how developmental imprinting, hormonal influences, diet, and stress affect canine behavior in daily life.

The course comprises eleven detailed thematic modules divided into more than one hundred individual lessons. Core topics include canine domestication and breed characteristics, anatomy and sensory perception, social development and puppy phases, communication patterns, and body language interpretation. Participants also study the fundamentals of learning theory, classical and operant conditioning, positive reinforcement, handling tools, health care, canine nutrition, and relevant animal welfare legislation.

Instruction is delivered entirely online in a flexible, self-directed e-learning format accessible across mobile and desktop devices. The content is structured into modular reading units accompanied by explanatory diagrams, interim knowledge checks after each lesson, and a final automated assessment. Learners retain continuous access to all digital course materials and receive a certificate of completion upon achieving at least a seventy-five percent score on the final exam.

This program is open to all learners without specific prerequisites. Enrollment is available directly through the institution's website.
