Program Description
This program provides structured musical instruction and an ongoing community environment for adults looking to learn or resume playing the alto recorder. Designed for beginner to advanced amateur musicians who cannot attend regular local classes or prefer remote learning, the training accommodates multiple playing levels within a supportive peer setting.
The curriculum encompasses instrumental technique, fingering patterns, note reading, and repertoire study spanning classical pieces, traditional songs, and student-selected musical requests. Instruction covers duet playing as well as coordination with piano accompaniment, with individual voice parts demonstrated alongside downloadable sheet music and structured exercises.
Delivery takes place via live group video sessions hosted on Zoom alongside continuous access to a digital member area stocked with instructional videos, accompaniment tracks, and sheet music. Learners have the option to submit audio recordings of their practice sessions for individual diagnostic feedback and technique corrections.
