Program Description
The Online Advanced Chess Calculation and Strategy Training is designed for club and tournament chess players holding an Elo or DWZ rating of approximately 1900 or higher who seek to advance toward master levels. The curriculum addresses common performance plateaus by shifting the training focus from basic tactical drills to comprehensive decision-making, deep positional evaluation, and structured calculation techniques required in competitive long-format play.
The core syllabus covers calculation endurance, visualization, candidate move identification, and opening repertoire construction using modern database and chess engine tools. Participants examine pawn structures, endgames, prophylactic thinking, and defense mechanisms while systematically identifying and rectifying individual technical deficiencies through regular game review sessions led by titled masters.
Instruction is delivered through a blended digital model combining an online video library with interactive weekly live coaching sessions conducted via Zoom. Enrollees complete weekly calculation assignments with personalized analytical feedback, receive game reviews twice per week, and gain access to four organized Elo-rated over-the-board tournaments throughout the program duration.
