Online Abrasive Wheels Safety Training Course

This training program equips participants with fundamental health and safety competencies required for operating power tools equipped with abrasive wheels. It is designed for workers across diverse trade sectors, including property maintenance technicians, construction operatives, metalworkers, carpenters, and manufacturing engineers who handle equipment such as angle grinders, cut-off saws, buffers, and bench grinders.

The curriculum addresses crucial safety principles aligned with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER). Core modules examine the primary hazards associated with abrasive wheels, specifications and marking identification, selection criteria for dry and wet wheels, pre-use inspection protocols, mandatory personal protective equipment, and risk mitigation strategies to prevent catastrophic wheel burst incidents.

Instruction is delivered entirely online through an interactive, self-paced digital learning system across three core modules that can be completed in 30 to 45 minutes. Assessment consists of an eleven-question multiple-choice test requiring an 80 percent pass mark with unlimited retake attempts, yielding a RoSPA Assured and CPD Certified digital credential upon successful completion.
